CARDIAC RESYNCHRONISATION THERAPY
Crosstalk triggered safety standby pacing associated with an improperly seated ventricular lead
Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Centre of Arrhythmia Diagnosis and Treatment, Fuwai Hospital, Beijing 100037, China
Ventricular Safety Standby (VSS) was designed to prevent the potentially serious consequences of crosstalk in many dual-chamber pulse generators. In this report, we describe a patient in whom the VSS was activated in a special way. When the VSS presents during bipolar sensing configuration, the clinician should notice the proper electrical contact between leads and pulse generator.
